BENEFITS OF WORKING OUT
Build Confidence
I will help you learn to become more confident even when you’re outside your comfort zone. With my guidance, you can learn to face your fears and embrace challenges. With structure and accountability, you can learn to be confident in who you are and what you’re capable of achieving. When you become confident, you will become unstoppable and achieve greatness.
Boost Your Mood
Exercise releases chemicals like endorphins and serotonin that improve your mood. Not only does exercise increase positive “affect” (or emotion), it decreases negative affect, equating to a one-two hit of good feeling. Doing regular exercise can also help you sleep better which in turn helps you manage your mood. Exercise can improve your sense of control, coping ability and self-esteem.
Increase Energy Levels
Any exercise or physical activity that gets the heart rate up and the blood flowing which releases endorphins is going to raise your energy level. Good cardiovascular exercises will strengthen your heart and give you more stamina. But don't forget, your results start in the kitchen. So a well balance nutrition plan is a must and this is where I can support and guide you in the right direction.
What is BMR?
Basal Metabolic Rate (BMR) is the number of calories your body needs to maintain basic physiological functions while at rest. These functions include breathing, circulating blood, controlling body temperature, cell production, and nutrient processing - essentially everything your body does to keep you alive and functioning, even if you’re not actively moving or exercising.
Influencing Factors:
• Age: As you age, your BMR tends to decrease.
• Gender: Men typically have a higher BMR than women due to having more muscle mass.
• Muscle Mass: More muscle means a higher BMR, as muscle burns more calories than fat, even at rest.
• Body Size: Larger individuals (both in height and weight) usually have a higher BMR.
• Genetics: Your BMR can be influenced by your genetic makeup.
What is your BMI?
Your BMI is a measurement of your body weight based on your height and weight. Although your BMI does not actually “measure” your percentage of body fat, it is a useful tool to estimate a healthy body weight based on your height. Due to its ease of measurement and calculation, it is the most widely used diagnostic indicator to identify a person’s optimal weight depending on his height. Your BMI “number” will inform you if you are underweight, of normal weight, overweight, or obese. However, due to the wide variety of body types, the distribution of muscle and bone mass, etc., it is not appropriate to use this as the only or final indication for diagnosis.
BMI Ranges
Severe Thinness (<16), Moderate Thinness (16 - 17), Mild Thiness (17 - 18.5), Normal (18.5 - 25), Overweight (25 - 30),
Obese Class 1 (30 - 35), Obese Class 2 (35 - 40), Obese Class 3 (40>)
